Qintas
Costume is a type of item or buff that temporarily changes the appearance of a character and a fun way to break up the normal routine or add some flare to your look when you play a character. The original idea comes from Star Wars Galaxies where players have been able to change their race to become a Gamorrean guard for example. This was just temporary and repeatable but allowed role-players a totally new appearance and experience. The costume buff has been removed when entered combat and in SWTOR it can also be removed when entering a story quest or any quest with cinematic in general. The costume also contains a fixed set of cloths, so it you wear a costume, the cloths will be tied to the costume, not matter what you wear beneath, it will always be the same outfit to reduce the development efforts. Restrictions: •Costumes are applied as "buffs". To take off a costume before the timer runs out, simply right click on the buff icon just as you would to remove any other buff. •Costumes cannot be used in combat; if you enter combat with a costume on it will automatically remove itself and generate a system message to let you know why. •You cannot use a vehicle or a mount while costumed. •You cannot use any emotes, moods, actions, social skills with costumes.
