You mount up, it makes her disappear and the shield has no one to be on, you send her to sell grey items, it'll disappear. you hit a loading screen, it'll disappear, she dies.... you see where I'm going with this. It happens on all tanks with shields. It disappears a lot. That's just good practice to remember to see if it is up and keep it constantly on. Once you get the hang of it and being able to tell visually because of the bubble affect you and your companion or who ever you shield have around them, its easier to just know you have it on.
