error 208

I also started getting the error 208 this afternoon. I logged in fine this morning. I also had the same issue on a totally different computer at a different location where I was able to log in yesterday. This appears to be a game issue because I am able to login to my account at the website - it's not a network issue as the error reports.

Since the devs have not responded anywhere, I am posting this in multiple error threads in case one of them actually reads this (same issue, worked fine yesterday, 208 error now, internet/other games work fine). Tucson, AZ:

I had the same issue. I remembered some time ago, that I had a similar error and I deleted the bitraider folder... Thought that maybe the last patch screwed smth up. So I followed those instructions:

I had no bitraider folder, but in the launcher.settings file the line

, "bitraider_disable": True

still changed to

, "bitraider_disable": "true"

Maybe that did the trick? Maybe it was a total coincidence... maybe they just now fixed it^^

No idea, just wanted to share my "solution"...

i'm reinstalling now. I did try deleting the bit raider - that proved useless in my case. But i'm no IT tech savvy type of person - I did launch my origin and it also said the servers were overloaded. Will bump up after i'm done reinstalling
