Is there a limit to how many schematics you can find other than just getting the same ones over and over again till you have them all or is there like only 50 you can get and that's it, you have all of them

There is a theoretical maximum, given by the total inventory and cargo hold space of all characters, legacy bank tabs (and presumably guild bank tabs too), which would mean you have a chance to collect all of the available schematics in the game plus probably a huge pile of duplicates, because the game will not simply pick a schematic that you do not already have as a mission reward.

But if the question was a poorly phrased attempt at asking how many schematics there are in the game, then to that question I would have to admit I have no idea.

No limit afaik, if they are schems you can use you of course can only use them once and then sell double ups on the GTN or vendor them since they are of no use to you ( except for other toons ).
