Imperial Agent misses Scorpio after Knights of the Fallen Empire

I've reported it as a bug and asked around in chat, but got no satisfactory reply yet. Many Imperial Agents said they had a similar issue right after the release of Knights of the Fallen Empire, but they have Scorpio by now. Since the latest patches did not resolve the issue I thought I rather ask here.

I played through the first nine chapters of Knights of the Fallen Empire with my Imperial Agent, I certainly did the chapter "Lady of Sorrows" and I never made any choice to reject destroy Scorpio, or otherwise make it impossible for me to get Scorpio as companion. Yet she/it never showed up in my companion list as "main character". She is still listed along with Kaliyo, Temple etc. as "Unavailable Companions".

Is there any work-around for this?

I noticed that there is a terminal in the commander's private room in the alliance base to call all previous companions back which might help in the given. But since there are strong indications that Kaliyo will be a central figure in the next chapter I'd rather wait until I get them through the story.

I think, perhaps, that part of the problem with Scorpio is that after KOTFE Scorpio isn't Scorpio.

I know you're all... but, no, really, it's true.

Take your Agent... one who hasn't entered KOTFE (like mine) and bring out Scorpio. Try and give her a Blaster Rifle. She no like. She uses a Tech Staff. Now, compare with the Scorpio who you acquire through KOTFE. Give her a Tech Staff. Nuh uh! Not gonna do it... only likes Blaster Rifles.

...it's not the same droid.
