My companions that I summon with no mainhand/offhands do very little damage and when equipping them with progressively higher level hilt/barrel weapons their damage increases. Kira Rank 43 all 4 buffs lvl 65 vs Combat Training Target Mk-5 Tank mode, dmg from the attack that heals them Taken from 20 uses of the dmg attack that uses weapon damage and heals no hilt Grade 8: lowest:4715 max non crit:4994 max crit:7262 with a 208 Hilt lowest:4700 max non crit:5025 max crit:7129 Her info page weapon dmg: 8 rating: 2745-2763 208 rating:3613-4064 DPS Role #1 skill Pummel instant single attack 6.7 CD 8 Rating:9650-9677 208 Rating:10978-11688 Both hit in the mid 8K range While it is a small sample size, its enough to show that giving them higher rating hilts/barrels is just a tool tip problem and doesn't actually effect the numbers they put out.
