Darth Traya runs the prodigal knight gauntlet

To be fair Beni, GL has gone back and forth on things at times. I mean pretty much, Yoda, Vader and Sidious acknowledge Luke's power(Sidious/Vader) and skill(Yoda/Vader) as being complete.

Still though, Traya can win sure, but it's not really a gonna be a stomp for her because she doesn't have any real unique powers other than Drain which she doesn't have here that would be combat applicable that Luke can't deal with.

Well George Lucas says that Luke wasn't actually ready to face Vader:

"In coming back to see Yoda we have to figure out Luke's training and the fact that he never finished his training and obviously now he's got a big question he wants answered. There is a point where the hero has to be left on his own 2 feet without anyone there to help him. And you can sort of have him be in a different place for something, but at some point you have to say now all the props have been taken away and he has to face the evil monster alone. In this case the scene established that the evil monster is actually his Father, and he's going to have to do it on his own, and that he's not really equipped to do it. He was too impatient, he didn't finish his studies, and now he's going to be HALF Trained to face a difficult physical and emotional challenge.

--George Lucas, Return of the Jedi Audio Commentary.

And we never actually see Luke handle Vader's offensive Force powers in the battle.

As wolf said Using Lucas is kind of a bad idea, as your own thing says he WAS to impatient past tense, not to mention Lucas only put in the scene with Luke returning to Dagobah because people didnt believe what Vader told Luke, the huge leap in Luke's skill from Empire and and Return of the Jedi were originally caused by Luke finishing his training. And all of what Lucas is saying is FROM LUKE'S Perspective not the facts that were on the table. Luke Returned there because he hadnt finished his training so on and so forth, but FROM YODA'S perspective and from Vader's and From the Emperor's Luke already had all the skills he needed. "no more training do you require, already know you, that what you need", "your skills are complete, indeed you are powerful". And he DID handle Vader's Offensive force powers in the original Trilogy Saber duels and Force Duels were 1 and the same, every strike of the blade every movement everything that goes into the blade work was Force Power and and Force Skill, everything there was the Force, the original trilogy didnt have the special effects to have full on Force Duels, other wise Luke would have killed Sidious in Return of the Jedi in such a duel, again as was prior planned, but they didnt have hte effects to pull it off. Vader was at his best in Return of the Jedi according to the novel, and also according to the novel he gave it his best, according to the movie we have no reason to discount the Novel's showing of the exact same events. Luke beat Vader in RotJ fair and square, Sidious would not have even considered Luke as a potential candidate if he couldnt.
