I think the time has long since passed for devs to just turn off the ability to preview Human Hairstyles etc. on non-Human species. Don't tease - either implement it, or don't allow it to be seen at all, it must be confusing for people who don't read the unlock descriptions. Furthermore, popping up "An error has occured while processing your character redesign" tells us nothing - which of the two-dozen changes I've just made is causing this error?
