Aseku
Are you in Shii-Cho form? When I kick my Zen in Shii-Cho, my slashes don't reduce focus, and I get 6 total hits. In Ataru form, the GCD is reduced, but not by much. I'm not specced to make Juyo happy, so I don't really use it at all.

Forgive me for this incredibly dumb thread, lol.
Aseku
No worries, I sometimes forget to stance dance before hitting Zen as well, and end up trying to slash an elite in Ataru. I like the focus build and extra DPS/Auto-Crit that the Combat spec gives, but Shii-Cho for the Zen bits. Working stance-dance into my rotations and learning when to pop my defense CDs early enough instead of an Oh-Sheet moment.
Estivo
Ataru form zen shines later, when you have blade rush and 3/3 talent in watchmen that refunds 1 focus for using it, resulting in blade rush costing 1 focus, 6 times with reduced gcd, that hurts elites
