Hero of a Thousand faces... OR

So I had a thought, about the original KoToR games, its likely not unique at all, but wanted something that wasnt a fight for once. If any one has sat down and thought about it, Revan in KoToR has a lot in common with Luke from the Original trilogy.

From the perspective of the player at the start of the game your character is just an ordinary guy fighting against an Evil Sith Empire lead by Malak who has a breath mask and used to be the right hand man of Revan the supposed emperor like character of that story. The first part of the story has him largely not undergoing any Jedi training and discovering his potential in the force. He then gets off planet and he begins some of his Jedi training doing things that are some what similar to what we see Yoda teach Luke in episode V at the end of the Second Act there is the big twist reveal after the fight with what the player up to this point has seen as the face of evil, it reveals that there was a close relationship between our main hero and the "main villian" that we see. In facing this villain one of the Hero's closest friends is captured. They reconcile their revealed past and then go to face off against the same villian once again. On the way their they rescue their captured friend (one from Jabba the other from the Dark side) and finally defeat their breathing mask opponent. Only to later have to deal with the "Emperor" and being defeated.

Darth Revan is interesting in the respect that his story very much mirror's a little of Anakin's. He was a Jedi that went off to war and ended up feeling it neccisary to create greater security in the galaxy by conquering it and his face was more known for the mask he wore as he was evil then his actual face.

Because before ToR Revan didnt actually have a face or a gender Revan himself was LITTERALLY the Hero with a thousand faces, and was easy to love for all those who love that story as I do :D.

I find this statement repulsive despite being kinda true, because the KOTOR story is better in so many ways.

it's amazing the things you can do when you aren't trying to fit something into an hour and a half isn't it?

and it's not kinda true, it IS true. KOTOR was intended to be the classic SW story
