SavantDreadtech Posted August 1, 2015 Share Posted August 1, 2015 (edited) Ok brought some species unlocks for one of my accounts. had Togruta, Chiss and Twi'lek. Togruta unlocked account-wide but both Chiss and Twi'lek only unlocked on the sever I had them on, why is this as all 3 cost the same in cartel coins? Mubrak Posted August 1, 2015 Share Posted August 1, 2015 (edited) These races are doubly locked: Without the unlock, free to play / preferred can't use Chiss or Twilek at all. So if you unsubscribe now that you used the unlock, the races should still be available for their faction on all servers. Subscribers have those races unlocked, but only for one faction. When you play an imperial Chiss to level 50, the race is unlocked for Republic automatically. Since this is a legacy unlock, it only applies to one server / legacy (transfering any character to the other server should do the trick, as legacies are merged, then) Edited August 1, 2015 by Mubrak Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Jerba Posted August 1, 2015 Share Posted August 1, 2015 This happens because they are different types of species. Chiss and Twi'lek have been in the game since launch. Back then, the idea was that only certain classes can play a class (like Imperial Agent for Chiss, and Republic classes for Twi'lek) but with 1.2, they added the Legacy system where you can unlock some species on your server. That way, you can create lore-breaking class-species combinations like a Sith Pureblood Jedi. Meanwhile, the new species (Cather and Togruta) are separated from that system. They can be created on any class as long as you have the species, and for that you have to pay Cartel Coins and then they are unlocked account-wide.
