Stronghold Decor Idea

Have arcade machines with a mini game to play rather than in a cartel pack sell it outright for 1500 cartel coins or just have it in packs either way people would love more interactive items to entertain guests etc in their homes.

Even offer a prize for high scores or daily high score across the server or random chance to win. Rather than make new items as prizes have old cartel items maybe take an old speeder and have it be a prize in a wide variety of colours to win. Nothing crazy just a fun game.

I also liked the Yavin battle areana decor item but would be cooler would be an octagon caged ring you could enter and duel in would be great have a door that's open and when you both click on it to start the duel the door locks. Two men enter one man lives kinda lol. Have it for a starship hook so it's big and maybe have it in different colours or variations so it could look cool in any strong hold and match the colour or decor imagine turning the large indoor hangar on tatooine into a PVP arean or even the large outdoor pad.

Just thinking of ideas for more interactive decor my favorite decor items are the GTN and the banks. I even loved the slot machine idea I was fine with it being nerfed but I think if it had the drop rate it does now right of the bat no one would have made a fuss. And people would be enjoying the slot machines more especially having friends to your strong hold between pvp pops etc lol.

Or even a juke box that will play songs that repeat or have say two or three songs and they will repeat for aslong as someone is in the stronghold. It would be fun and great for a guild to utilize their guild ship and strongholds more give those spaces more use and te more use those spaces are given the more time spent there the more time people will want to decorate rather than just to fill space for conquest bonus with junk try get. Also the more they want to decorate as long as bioware brings out more and more cool stuff in the cartel market and the spaces are being used they will keep buying cartel packs to get that decor stuff. An older decor items I think bioware is missing out and hoarding those and not sharing.

Maybe have crafters craft old cartel items or start placing them as in game drops in old content areas to make it more replay value or add new play areas to get that content. Or have it where the rate drops cycle they can post what drops every month are dropping where for the month and then new stuff of the old stuff every month. Would make players happy being able to have more in game stuff to loot or find out keep them busy.

They made the stuff to sell packs and it worked now people don't want the old stuff so much to buy old packs but would be willing to spend game time. The more time players spend the more time they may choose to buy more or be happy in game and keep them busy rather than with the same old stuff over and over until the next expansion.

Or the old stuff to be given or bought in some sort of new live event like bounty contract week maybe create a week where we are treasure hunters scavenging for clues to get a chance to get an old item or items or even a chance to dig up or find an old cartel pack and what's inside is random like it is. How cool would it be to go on a treasure hunt maybe make a one hunt very month for a cartel pack should be easy to create something like a scavenger hunt with riddles and clues pointing to planets and way points . Have a riddle with an answer like bantha so we know it's tatooine and then another riddle or question or hunt for co-ordinated to find an area where you have to dig up.

Back in the early days of the release of Fallen Earth MMO, the devs put gambling machines in place as mini games. They were a huge hit for the first few days. Players actually had to wait their turn to get access to one of the terminals.

But after just a few days, the casino areas became ghost towns. This is partially due to the novalty wearing off and partially due to the old rules of gambling that the odds favor the house. To put simply, the odds of losing were higher than the odds of winning and people got tired of losing their money.

I have played a few single player games that have had mini games. I remember one particular mini games from years back where you had to build a card deck before you could play the mini game. This meant doing certain quests in game tor beating certain bosses o get individual cards. I enjoyed the hell out of that mini game, but it simply would not work in an mmo as one player could just simply have a better playing deck to work with.

And some people could argue we already have mini games in the form of warzones and space combat.
