Air_ Posted March 16, 2015 Share Posted March 16, 2015 Hi I am currently levelling a PT and was wanting to know the community's thoughts on going either Shield tech or AP for pvp. Mainly ill be pvping solo. Does the survivability from Shield tech, outweigh the burst from AP? (Keep in mind I have never played this class before) Thanks! Ridickilis Posted March 16, 2015 Share Posted March 16, 2015 (edited) Both are quite fun, really easy to pick up and learn on the fly. I bounce between both of those myself but I've probably logged more hours as a shield tech. I think it's even more fun to level as SS now because they get the leap (jet charge) at level 10, when I leveled my first we didn't get it until a much higher level. Perhaps start as a tank, then around level 32ish, when AP gets the talent for the railshot reset, give that one a long look. Then you'll find you like them both and will keep a shield and a generator in your personal inventory for easy switching between specs.
