StarSquirrel
http://www.grindtv.com/outdoor/nature/post/stormtrooper-outfit-saves-man-snakebite/ So the article is basically about a man on a charity walk around Australia who gets bit by a king brown snake on the leg. He also happened to be doing this in Stormtrooper armor, so the shin plate stopped the snake from puncturing skin. The man was quoted in the article as having said, "“I could feel the teeth on the plastic scrap.ing, but the armor actually stopped something. So all those people that rag on the old Stormtroopers saying the armor doesn’t do this, doesn’t do that, it stopped a snakebite and probably saved my life today.” So yeah, Stormtrooper armor is really there to deal with the wildlife... I just thought this was really funny/ironic, and the dude was pretty lucky. Edited January 16, 2015 by StarSquirrel
dcaleb
I'm shocked that some sort of leg armor isn't standard issue to everyone living in Australia.
Silenceo
Well, that certainly is interesting. Though, I do not think snake hunters will dress up like stormtroopers any time soon. Joke aside, he was quite lucky, which I thank since he was doing the walk for a fundraiser.
