Assault is great against everyone BUT juggs (you need to use gunnery here to prevent ED from doing any healing). Some may favor gunnery for every 1v1 since mezz is available (you can't really mezz as assault), but I think the dot-sit behind LOS might be really good against snipers and potentially lightning sorcs. A lucky crit or two, and you'll alpha them back to re-spawn before they even knew what hit them. This is your strategy - open with ElectroNet?! Well at least more people are playing Merc/Commando. And even then, mercs need back crit luck/mistake to lose. Assassins and operatives are tough for mercs...probably less than 30 percent win rate against equally skilled players. Juggs can be tough if they time their cd's correctly (50/50). Snipers and sorcs...all depends on LOS, but you should be winning those more often than not. I'd say mercs are the 5th best 1v1 class, behind Assassins, Operatives, PT's, and Juggs. They're just ahead of snipers and sorcs, and way ahead of marauders. Im sorry but this is just silly ti suggest we are ahead of snipers and sorcs. snipers have leap immunity and an insane amount of mitigation, and sorcs have everything including spamable heals.
