WickedImage Posted April 6, 2014 Share Posted April 6, 2014 Did the respec to Darkness on my SIn and wondering, before I buy any more gear, should Sin Tanks use DPS gear or Tank gear now? When I left a year+(?) ago they were thriving in DPS gear and seemed nobody used the survivor set? I'm currently using stalker gear from the Conquerer set but would like some advice from some up to date Sin Tanks on their gear choice? alexzk Posted April 7, 2014 Share Posted April 7, 2014 Up to you. I always used survivor set since beginning, with 1/2 pieces of stalker. Now you can do any set for armor-bonuses you wish and just buy enhancements/mods separated. Actually you should, mods included into sets aren't too good - too much of endurance there. But if you're playing the Dark Maul spec, then you'll run with DPS gear and sometimes a shield. Full tank is viable in arenas, but jugg is better sadly. According to this thread from the tank forums, tank gear is too weak: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=731614&page=5 However it's been my assumption that all tanks have been wearing tank gear since 2.0.
