is HIB really worth it?

My HIB isn't hitting that hard. I even have 90% armor pen for it. In pvp it was hitting for like 1k and SS and IP were hitting for 1.5+ non-crits. HIB just doesn't seem worth that much to me. Fo a skill that requires a dot or stun/etc it just not hitting as hard as it should.

I dont have any problem with it at all, in fact mine hits for 2k crit in PVP normally. It's actually quite easy to get off as well, considering there are many talents that we have that apply something.

 

As far as damage per ammo cell goes, it's one of the most efficient high damage abilities that we get.

 

For your characters stats, you should be placing AIM ahead of Endurance - aim will increase the damage to your abilities (HiB, SS, Gut etc...)

Yes. It's part of the rotation to maximize your burst combo and keep your energy cells up. Later when talented correctly you will be ignoring a large part of the enemy defense and it will gain some more power from talents.

 

Stock strike will be for the most part your biggest move.

Its a good ability after Stockstrike, but I agree, I think it should do more damage

I can only speak for Van Shield and and Van Assault.

 

For Shield spec, HIB is really the only big burst you have. Even on 15sec cool down it greatly improved my ability to solo +2. You have great survivablity but 2 champions will wear you down if you dont burst them. Your healer is good, but not that good.

 

For Assault, HIB is NASTY! crazy nasty fat nasty damage.
