Lunafox Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 (edited) I'm a bit of a Supernatural fan, and I was watching tonight's episode, "First Born" and the character of Cain's voice was amazingly familiar, that I pin pointed it as Timothy Omundson, who also does Aric Jorgan's voice. Anyone else catch this episode tonight? I'd never seen what the VA looked like in real life, but wow, I recognized him right off the bat by his voice Edited January 22, 2014 by Lunafox
Jandi Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Yeah, he does have a very distinctive voice, like many pro VA people. Like in one episode of Castle, the VA for Garrus was in it and there was no doubt for an instant who it was.

Lunafox Posted January 23, 2014 Author Posted January 23, 2014 It's a real treat when you get to hear a favorite VA in something you already love, like Supernatural or Castle. I hear Malavai Quinn's VA Richerd Teverson doing a promo spot for a casino. I was like, omg Malavai! I guess I'm a bit odd, I might not remember a person's name, but if I've heard them speak, I'll remember that forever lol.

It means that lots of entertainement, from movies and series to games and cartoons use voice actors. 2- Add the fact that the country has much less population than US+UK, meaning that probabilities makes good VA more rare. 3- Imagine how many times you can shout of nowhere "OMG it's <insert name>" thanks to the two first points. That's my life. Exemple for you Supernatural fans : the guy voicing Sam Winchester in my language, also voices Corso Riggs. Edited January 23, 2014 by Altheran

Omg, I'm having a weird time imagining that, Sam Winchester done by Corso Riggs. I guess it would work out well enough, he just would have to drop the 'farm boy' quality of Corso's. What language btw?

They do sound alike don't they. Also strange for me, because I'm used to hearing the English VA's, so you expect the characters to sound a certain way, and it's a bit of a shock. Thanks for putting that up, it was neat hearing it.

I also could have swore I heard Tom Cane' s voice (M1-4X) in a commercial for The Crudes. Also Joe Gatts, who is our Lord Scourge was in Star trek Into Darkness as well. He played science officer 0718, and you could see him on the bridge of the Enterprise in quite a few scenes.
