Iwipe
Hey everyone, recently a couple of guildies have started a series of class guides for my site that aim to cover all specs and roles for endgame PvE at 55 that should be viable from the basic hardmode flashpoint all the way to Nightmare operations. We just released our first tanking guide on Vanguard and I thought I would share it here. Mutsie
Great post, as always Dulfy! However, in the rotation section a picture was mixxed. The picture of the Ion Pulse is incorrect. This is the picture of Ion Cell. Edited January 6, 2014 by Mutsie
TACeMossie
I'd also like to point out that you incorrectly stated energy blast as having a 35% boost to absorption. Sadly, its only a 25% boost
Sarapham
Good guide overall and things such as these are always a great help for new players. One thing I would like to point out though is that I think the writer/writers are overusing Ion Pulse (IP) and underusing Hammer Shot (HS). IP does very little damage compared to its ammo cost and according to me is really only used now to keep Static Field up. Hence I only use it just as Static Field is about to run out and every other time I would replace IP with HS. HS damage is almost up to that of Ion Pulse and the added damage from Ion Cell procs will help even that out. The fact that it procs Ion Cell is also the biggest advantage to HS as it will lower Cooldown on Energy Blast even more as well as getting Power Screen up more. HS as such will increase tankyness while not losing much damage/threat as well as keep your ammo up easily. For this reason I would also exchange Frontline Offense talent for the Heavy Stock talent to add more damage. Regarding Sticky Grenade it does more damage than Ion Pulse for the same cost so I personally feel it can be kept in a single target rotation.
