Remh
I'm flying a Flashfire Scout with 2.16 d/s pitch and 1.3 d/s yaw. What do those value's mean exactly?
Elmerpl
From wikipedia: An aircraft in flight is free to rotate in three dimensions: pitch, nose up or down about an axis running from wing to wing, yaw, nose left or right about an axis running up and down; and roll, rotation about an axis running from nose to tail. So more pitch = quicker up/down turning, more yaw = quicker left/right turning, that is why we have rolling on a and d keys and not strafing, since most crafts (in game and in real life) have a much grater turning capabilities while "turning up and down" than to the sides. Also if you are interested look up some recordings of fighter planes, you will see that if they want to make a quick turn they roll to the side. Edit: mot sure but measurement "d/s" should stand for degree per second or sth like that (almost sure it's not a normal degrees or degrees at all since a 360 turn would take forever with that speed and we know it doesn't, but that is my best shot) Edited December 15, 2013 by Elmerpl
Slivovidze
Yeah these numbers seem kinda wrong. Turning my NovaDive by 180° would take me like a minute and half according to the stats, which luckily doesn't in practice. You might just say, the bigger those numbers, the faster you turn.
