Atotalnoob Posted November 29, 2013 Share Posted November 29, 2013 So I have my vanguard in mostly 78s (missing one armoring, implants, earpiece, and relics (using just the default ones from tokens/ult comms). This is my current character sheet: http://puu.sh/5wzuO.jpg Would it be better to use commando 34s armorings or reflex 34s? I'd think losing 11 end for 11 aim would be a good trade off... I'm not trying to stack endurance, so I'd think reflex would be better. Also, would getting the ark set bonus be worth more? With my mods, right now all but one are weighted 34Bs (the one is a deflecting 34B). I'm thinking these are probably good, though I might think about swapping the deflecting out for a weighted. Enhancements, I have a motly assortment of lucid, sentient, vigilant, and bulwark. Anything I should focus on, or what? Should I focus on shield rating or defense rating on augments? I currently have all my augs for defense rating, but I'm thinking more shield rating would proc power screen better... Annnd last but not least my crystals, I have two endurance ones, should I switch to power? Thoughts on this? I know it is a bunch of nooby questions, but I've never optimized before. TACeMossie Posted November 29, 2013 Share Posted November 29, 2013 If you want to be really picky... 1. Swap out those 34Bs for 34s. This will be difficult to do, but do attempt it2. You want the set bonus as a vanguard tank. Arkanian 4-piece set bonus > 78's with no set bonus3. Commando Armoring > Reflex Armoring, as you have a passive that heals you 2.5% health every 3 seconds when hit with an AoE attack4. You want Bastion + Bulwark enhancements (until Immunity + sturdiness are released)5. Shield is probably better than defense as a vanguard, because all your talents buff rely on shielding an attack rather than dodging one. And by extension, absorb is made more useful, because of your high shield rating6. Until you get Dread Forged Earpiece + Implants, use Veracity implants/earpiece (level 54 item made with cybertech/biochem) That should be everything. Token drops -_- Same with the recommended enhancements, however in this case the 72's can be better.
