And is a dark side force user able to cast light side force powers?I believe that if a jedi uses dark side powers he may fall to the dark side. But if a sith is able to use light side powers, like heal, than sith are a lot more powerfull than jedis, because they could use both sides of force.In KOTOR we see that we can buy powers of both sides, but depending on your alignment, it is easier to cast powers of your nature and harder from the opposite nature. Ok, first of all Jedi and Sith are Pronouns therefore capitalize them like Marine... Now lets get into a little Semantics. A Dark Jedi embraces the Dark but denies the teachings of the Sith. A Light Sith (SCUM) is a Sith who denies the dark and embraces the Light... Grey Sith deny neither side of the force and embraces both they does what is needed for the good of the universe. Grey Jedi walk the line between light and dark. In that sense Revan is not Grey he is more Darth Revan may be the only true Master of the Force, and it took four people to kill him. To truly be a Master of the force you must know Light (Ashla) while you embrace the Dark (Bogan). How a Jedi falls is that he did not embrace Boga but he surrendered him self to it. This is the reason Sith are taught to embrace the Dark... To surrender is to fail that is why Ajunta Pall (the first Sith) failed because he did not embrace his rage but fell to his desire for power. To talk about using both sides one must remember what powers are Dark and what powers are Light. Force Heal and Force Sever are Light. Force Choke and Force Lighting are Dark. The question lies what are you really asking is it possible to use both sides or are you asking if you could use one side or the other with out changing eventually. Because the the answer to the first question is yes. The answer to the second question is no, that is why Revan bounces around... You can not heal the weak while you kill the strong because if they were truly strong they would have defeated you. You can not inflict unnecessary pain on someone because they can not answer a question while being kind to the next person by Mind Tricking them... Eventually you will fall to either side.
