makallitank
So, TOR is set roughly four thousand years before Ep. 1, right? Is there any logical reason as to why there is pretty much zero technological advancement to the universe in those four thousand years? Was there some type of "Dark Ages" period where people were unable to do any type of research? Is the Star Wars universe at its peak of advancement during the TOR era? Or is this just completely overlooked by all the storylines? Edited July 27, 2013 by makallitank
Aurbere
The Republic hits a 'Dark Age' because of the New Sith Wars. Technology rapidly advances after that, though.
Jetreaperz
pretty much at the cap for tech already, not really much else to do if you think about it,

There's also the Celestial but not much is still known about them.

Yeh the Republic is having a bit of trouble surviving to be bothered with technological advancements, this is the same for about 1,000 years.
