The Entire Sith Organization vs. The Doctor and his tiny Blue Box

Recommended Posts

Okay, I have seen all these comparison threads. But not one of them has asked the single most important question... who would win... The Sith, or the Doctor?

In the Sith's Corner:

~ Sith have access to the Force, they can in a very minor way manipulate reality around them. They can manipulate the minds of those weaker than themselves. And given enough members of the order working in concert they can accelerate their movements to pretty darn near close to the speed of light.

~ Sith have Lightsabers that can cut through almost any material given enough time.

Thats pretty much it.

In the Doctors Corner:

~ The Doctor has the Time And Relative Dimensions In Space device that lets him manipulate time like it were a toy.

~ The Doctor can and has traveled all the way back to the beginning of his universe, and all the way forward to the end of it, and been everywhere in between along the way.

~ The Doctor is virtually immortal via his regeneration sequence (though he is running low on those and will soon have to dues ex machina more of them)

~ The Doctor is friends with Bad Wolf, the Goddess of Time in the form of Rose Tyler, though she is stuck in an alternate reality at the moment.

~ The Doctor has stopped not one, but several civilizations (including his own) that rival the Sith in power, not limited to the Time Lords, but also including the Daleks, the Cybermen, and a few other notables.

~ The Doctor has some means of trapping multiple civilizations simultaneously inside of a temporally sealed off loop of time.

~ The Doctor can manipulate Black Holes

And most importantly of all, the Doctor has a portable Dues Ex Machina generator in the form of the Sonic Screwdriver (that now doubles as a flashlight).

So who wins?

P.S. And as an added side bonus, who wins, a Jedi or a Weeping Angel?

Interesting. Yes, I agree that The Doctor's power to manuulate time could fesibly undermine any strategy that a Sith could think up. Also The Doctor has powerful friends, as you pointed out. The Doctor would be compeltely dominate in a contest of time manipulation.

Of course, if the Doctor ever came face-to-face witha Sith lord, well......let's just say the sonic screwdriver wouldn't be much help.

As far as Jedi vs. Weeping Angel? What if the Jedi is blind or just closes his/her eyes and jsut uses the force to "see".

Great post!!

The time travel aspect of the Doctor isn't god like however. The Time Lords believed that the Daleks would be a threat to the galaxy, so the Doctor went back in time to alter their species progress from the very beginning. The Daleks later found out about it and thus began the Time War. What they tried to prevent, they actually caused. As the Doctor said in "Let's Kill Hitler", "that's why you don't mess around with time travel". You might end up causing something even worse.....But Tennant would totally win against the Emperor. Sure he has the Force, but Tennant is clever.

Lets not forget that the Doctor can blow up suns, he defeated the Dalek Empire by blowing up Gallifrey's sun, so he would have no problem blowing up the suns in the systems the Sith are in. Pretty short fight.

In face to face combat, the Sith have the advantage, lightning, force chokes, swords made up of constrained plasma, millions of troops and droids, etc. The Doctor wouldn't survive long, unless he picked up a weapon, at which point he wouldn't really be the Doctor.

yes, but the Doctor could just hide inside the TARDIS for all eternity. Afterall, nothing short of a Dalek Empire at the height of it's power can get through the TARDIS Doors (that or the Time Lords themselves) and I don't think the Sith Qualify as either of those.

And actually, the Doctor has in fact picked up weapons. Afterall, he used a hand gun to shoot the device that the Master was using to pull Gallifrey into Earth's Orbit in "The End of Time" After threatening Rasillon (king of the Time Lords) with said gun. So saying that he wouldn't really be the Doctor if he picked up a weapon is a faslsehood. What is actually true is that he wouldn't be the Doctor if he actually shot someone with a weapon. That said, the Doctor is a master of Venusian Aikido, which by all accounts was just as deadly as a Lightsaber, even if it was primarily practiced unarmed. Apparently he also knows Martian Karate, and the Ice Warriors are nothing if not efficient in their fighting skills.
