Honor Duel Round 2: Carth Onasi vs. Corso Riggs

Recommended Posts

Welcome to the Honor Duel! Based on the classic Mandalorian tradition of the dueling ring, these fights will not include any Jedi–Force sensitives need not apply! The rules are simple: survive! Our next combatants are ready to enter the ring:

Carth Onasi: Onasi started out as a starfighter pilot during the Mandalorian Wars and was eventually assigned to work as a bridge crewman. However, this naval accomplishment did not mean he had no prowess in combat outside of a ship.

Corso Riggs: Corso Riggs, a farmboy from Ord Mantell and later crewman aboard a smuggler's ship, had a love for blasters, and was known for customizing his own. He had a passion for killing separatists, who had slaughtered his family, though this was overshadowed by his kind-hearted nature.

Battle Skills:

Onasi is a lethal warrior, and was renowned by the likes of Trask Ulgo for his skills. Carth was not a large man, but he was still adept in hand-to-hand combat, though he usually fell back to his blasters when he could.

Riggs specialized in all types of blasters, and he was adept in hand-to-hand combat, often leaping forward to engage enemies up-close. He usually used rifles over other types of weaponry, however.

Gear:

Onasi often carried two blaster pistols, one of which was marked with his family crest. He did not usually wear armor due to the fact that he was a pilot above all, usually wearing a simple flight suit or jacket, instead. This made him more nimble, as he did not have armor restricting him; however, due to its simple nature it would not protect him, and likely even a single bolt would injure him,

Riggs had a whole array of weapons at his disposal, all of which he had names for–his rifle he called Sergeant Boom-Boom, and three pistols; Sparkles, Flashy, and Torchy. He also carried a vibroblade which he nicknamed Hewie. Riggs tended to wear heavier armor in combat, even when he was a simple hand in Skavak's hangar, and in all likeliness he upgraded it as he did his array of weaponry. This means he could take several blasts directly before being felled.

Who will win?

Corso, he would have more experience in fighting ground combat compared to Carth who was mostly a pilot then a ground trooper. Plus with his heavy armor, he could take more punishment then Carth and while Carth can be agile and nimble all it takes from Corso is one shot to bring the other down, up close gonna have to give it to Corso aswell. Gonna give this to Carth Onasi, because he was a solider and it came to action he used a blaster or dual blasters, versatile yet cunning when it came to "get the job done".

Corso riggs got his best blaster stolen, not saying he isn't a awesome fighter but carth definetly seems more agile

Not even a close contest, Onasi takes one look at the farm boy, and smartly blasts corso between the eyes with his dual blasters in a highly proficient military manner.

Sorry Corso, while funny and a good sidekick, just not in the same league as Carth.

Really?...Carth is a pilot first and foremost, Corso has been fighting as a ground trooper since the start. Not to mention he has better heavy armor which can withstand punishment and also would be good up close, I don't see how Carth wins with pretty much no armor and only twin blasters.

I've reached a decision. Remember that, in order for the person you feel would win to actually win, you must provide an argument, as opposed to just saying "they win" and not saying why. "Look at him and shoot him in the eyes" doesn't count, because it's not a reasonable argument. You have to actually get into a fight, no just look-and-shoot. Due to this, the winner is Corso Riggs. Carth Onasi, while a fine fighter, could not stand up to the blast armor and heavier weapons wielded by Corso Riggs.

Stay tuned for the next round!
