Every server will have a varying amount of helpful, trolling, and silent players. A lot of it will depend on how you present yourself to others. If you have RL friends in the game, the best bet would be to go there. If not, choose based on whether you are a PvE, PVP, or RP type of player. Unless you have a good grasp on what to do in the game, I would suggest finding a guild based on what experience you are looking for in the game. Browsing the server forums will be a good place to start in searching for guilds. For the most part they post exactly what they are looking for in new recruits.
