I don't care if it is the basic attack the generates focus etc. This may sound bad, but I prefer not having an auto-attack. It would take away too much focus from what you do with your character. They won't implement an auto attack, because your regular attacks are part of the global cool down like most of your specials. The idea is to make you focus on combat and what ability you'll use next. It keeps things interesting and forces you to interact with combat at all times, rather than the lolautoattack laziness people got used to in other games.
