'Simple really', items that can be purchased by cartel market users to sell in-game.

 

Ex. 7 day 'subscription' item sold in the cartel market at 1000 CC which is not bound ever.

 

Someone who needs credits can purchase this with CC and sell via trade or GTN

 

Benefits:

Gives people who are F2P, who do not have access to any regular payment option the ability to become subs and remain subs by playing the game.

Gives people who can no longer afford to pay for a subscription a chance to continue playing instead of dropping to preferred.

If sold by a vendor at a high price ex. 5 sub tokens for 1 item (tokens can be purchased for 200.000 credits) can become a credit sink.

Income for subscriptions that would otherwise have become/remained F2P

 

Downside:

More grinding for credits.

Cash to credits.

Will take good programming to accomplish.

This would also allow people to access their escrow.

Good idea. World of Warcraft does this, with a degree of success. Those gametime items are regularly sold for 30 to 50 Gold, about equivalent to 3 to 5 million swtor creds. Not bad for 1000 CC
