How do get augmentation slots onto my gear/weapons????

I know its something to do with the add augmentation slot but im not sure how i make that become available

Probs a stupid question but any help would be appreciated

Step 1) Look up the augment you want to use (GTN can sometimes work for this, or just ask chat for a link if you don't already have the augment), find the minimum augment slot level listed in the description block text on the item.

 

Step 2) Buy/craft an augmentation kit of the appropriate level, max level augments require Mk-6.

 

Step 3) Go to an item modification station

 

Step 4) Select/drop your item into the station, select the desired augment slot level from the drop down

 

Step 5) Pay the fee and confirm

 

It isn't fast or cheap, but at the endgame it's more than worth it. (if you're using custom gear you expect to use all the way to 50, skip straight to a MK-6 slot so you don't have to keep doing this over and over again)

 

Alternatively, critical crafting successes on augmentable gear adds an augment slot of the equivalent level for free.
