Keonachak Posted January 17, 2013 Share Posted January 17, 2013 Dps VG in late 40's is absolute Fun. Then you'll hit 50 and throw pillows at everyone and become a china doll. Once you're geared back up, it gets fun again, but it's a painful process with no escape. Just stick with it. Assault with the 15% HIB gear bonus. Stack aim then power. Works well for me. Quantemoq Posted January 20, 2013 Share Posted January 20, 2013 (edited) if you compare pyro/assault to ap/tactics in terms of sustainable pve dps, tactics: more aoe dps easier rotaions (aka fixed rotation without cooldown reseting proccs and almost all attacks have a 15 sec cooldown ) easier ammo management (static ammo gain every 6 sec that you can always rely on) assault: more single target dps (if you manage your hib proccs) more mobility (tactics has more speed but the pulse cannon requires you to stand still) more burst Edited January 20, 2013 by Quantemoq Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The idea is to bypass the assault plastique and simply focus on spamming ion pulse. Ion pulse does good dmg, refreshes your hib, and puts a dot on the target. Why waste energy on assault plastique?
