We know nothing about RotHC

Not sure most of the information is relevant anymore, but all the information we have so far points to it being pretty much true.

Not confirmed yet but we are getting an Ewok companion (maybe) with the xpac.

This has been around for some time as well, many us knew much of what is being discussed for sometime.

Apparently the help centre states:-

This Digital Expansion is available for the following pre-order prices:

$9.99 for all active subscribers.

$19.99 for all Free-to-Play and Preferred Status players.

Which is not the same and suggests that these prices are only available if you pre-order.

Now I think you are correct and it is a famous BW miscommunication, but it isn't cast iron as it stands.

Here are 3 links to the FAQ that specifically state the price point for subbers and the price point for non-subbers and what you get if you pre-order by 7 Jan.

That's not technically true anyway. We know from official statements:

  • It is one planet no bigger than Belsavis
  • It has no class storyline
  • There will be one active ability per advanced class
  • They will add "a couple" of options to each skill tree
  • It increases the level cap to 55
  • The gear dropped will be worse or at best equal to than current raiding gear

That's the helpful part of the post however we also know based on previous performance that:

  • It will be buggy as sin
  • Its release will break existing functions in the game

Pretty much this.

We know pretty much nothing on RotHC expansion. So why do people jump to conclusions about what's coming and what's not, like they already know the answer to everything ever. I'm quite happy to wait and find out more content info that they will release in due time. I will not jump on the horrible band wagon of 'OMG THIS EXPANSION GOT ANNOUNCED A DAY AGO, AND ALL THE INFORMATION THAT WAS GIVING MEANS NOTHING ELSE IS COMING!!'

Just wait, people. More info will come. I don't ever remember any other expansion by any other game ever giving out all the information at once.

Calm down.

(Sorry for bad English I'm Australian)

You're absolutely correct!

We know almost nothing about the expansion other than what they've told us so far!

1) It won't cost subscribers anything extra!

2) It will be out before the end of 2012!

3) It will be awesome... turbo-charged awesome!

I mean really, it's not like they just scanned the forums, read all the most mentioned complaints about the game, and then issued a press release that basically covers every single one of the complaints with extremely vague descriptions of the expansion, including no details at all and thus can't ever be called "wrong".

I mean really, that would be dishonest and sneaky. It would be like charging paying customers large sums of money for crap that our subscription money has previously paid to develop.

it only states how much you pay but not what you pay for. There is almost no information whatsoever on the exact content.

I agree. The whole reason I posted this was to clarify the question about the pricing. People are wondering how much the expansion costs and I posted these three links to answer that question.

Umm if you read those links you posted it says :

"Rise of the Hutt Cartel is available to pre-order for the following prices:

$9.99 for all active subscribers.

$19.99 for all Free-to-Play and Preferred Status players"

Assuming its price wont go up after pre-order sale is like assuming a clearance sale prices wont go back up to normal after said sale. Difference is in stores they clarify that the sale will end, here they just use badly worded posts and never clarify, Possible(and this is pure conjecture) because they arent sure if people will pay 20$ yet they are most likely going to see how many pre-order at 20$ (non-subs) if they do then subs should gladly pay that.

The other 2 just say you dont HAVE To preorder you can buy at any time, Thats like saying "Oh yeah you dont have to pre-order farcry 3 you can go grab it from the store any time pre-ordering just gets you it early"

Every single WAR patch came with yet more "awesome". :) (except it didn't, of course)
