I have been AS since I started but was thinking of trying tactics for a change of pace. I am currently 47 and do more PvE than PvP. Could anyone breakdown each for me based off experience? NurseDonut Posted December 19, 2012 Share Posted December 19, 2012 Assault is best for single target burst damage. Likely, it is better for getting lots of damage onto bosses. Tactics will do better AoE damage with Pulse Generator. But your single target boss damage will be lower. You will be able to take more damage, have easier energy management, more mobility, and knock-back immunity when Holding the Line. Personally I think you might as well try Tactics to see if you like it more. It would be best to know for sure before you hit 50 and start grinding gear.
