  1. I thought makeb weekly was supposed to grant 8,000 cxp but last time I went there it still said 174 cxp. Have they fixed it yet?
  2. I had a few questions regarding these classes for the PvE DPS roles. 1st, generally speaking which do you who have played them find to be more fun to play, the operative/scoundrel or the GS/ Sniper? With regard to the mirror classes which side do you think has the better eye candy as far as abilities/ animations/ effects etc? You spend countless hours on them so for me, it sometimes comes down to the eye candy. For example, I have both a Merc and a Commando and I dont think its even close, the merc is so much better to play as it has much much cooler looking skills, missiles and rockets FTW! Same with the Powertech over the VG. Flamethrowers and rockets over a swiss army knife gun anyday. In asking in general chat most said sniper over gunslinger but with over 200 in general now it was hard to ask more. Any insight you could give me would be greatly appreciated. I have a level 65 token to use so that's what this is about. TY

  4. I am missing all my saved legacy armor and some rare dyes and alliance crate armors from my legacy hold, and all I have is 5 pages of crafting mats. Please tell me they know about this and are working on it?
  5. I realize much has to do with licensing and rights and era but can we get: Better stormtrooper armor, especially a helmet Kylo Ren First order stormtrooper armor/ helm Deathtrooper 1st order has a bunch of cool sub types Boba and jango Fett Vader...anything a little closer to vader
  6. Lightsaber pike and shield is already in game as several bosses use it. Works with the storyline. I realize the voice over stuff could be an issue so make it an advanced class that you can make if you have x number of classes at 70 maybe, and have it start at 70 at the end of KoTFE/ET. The saber pike and shield could be a lot of fun to play as a dps/ tank spec.
  7. Do you have a video or link to a current build and rotation for AS? I cant really find anything current. There is a lot of 5.3 gunnery stuff but not much for AS. Thank you
  8. Since returning I got my mara to 70, shadow to 70, guardian to 70 and my PT to 70. PT is my favorite as I love the PT as its very Boba Fett, missiles, flame throwers etc. Its just cool. If I am going to try the merc, I would prefer to try the commando so it feels a little different. My Commando is ancient, and I have not played it in forever. In looking for a guide, spec It seems most people say Gunnery, and most guides (dulfy etc) only have a guide for gunnery current to at least 5.3. I saw a video where it seemed like the AS animations/ powers were a little flashier, (eye candy matters, lol) so I wanted to ask if its decent for levelling and end game? If so does anyone have a decent rotation they could share that is current. Thank you
  9. So the damage is there but not the defense. Is there any way to mitigate that short fall in the utilities to better balance the 2 specs currently?
  10. Are you guys referring primarily to Ops? Or do you feel even in uprisings, FP etc to just use AP?

I know for a while everything said AP was better, but I was recently reading some comments on the bottom of the pyrotech 5.0 builds on Dulfy where the author commented that as of 5.3 he was seeing pyrotech doing better more sustained dps then AP. I was wondering of this is still the case where PT may be as good or better then AP now. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you

  13. Hi, I have a character I have not played for a while. Is level 60 back when that was max level and content. Where do I start that character now, I would have completed everything up to the point of being 60, what was the next content release? Trying to do the content in order on that character, thank you.
  14. Ok so arsenal merc is the more missile/ rocket class and powertech I guess would best be used doing advanced prototype which is a lot of fire attacks?
  15. Of the 2, which class and which spec would give you the most use of missiles and rockets for PvE? Also, do any DPS specs give either a merc or PT a jump to target ability? Thank you for any information.
  16. I get everything everyone is saying to both sides. It being too much and now its not enough. I do think most people who are saying its too much have at least 1 toon or more at 300 and probably from the daily bug or at least part of it. People like myself who do not, are devastated by this massive change. To be honest, I do not even know what to do now, or even if I should log in. I have a 10 hour a day job, 2 kids, a wife and a sick mom living with us. The dailies gave me a viable option for progression as I can step away from the game at a moments notice. The time sink trying to get a group and complete a group encounter currently takes forever and for the reward its a waste of time. The cxp needs to be re evaluated and adjusted immediately for the entire game to balance the options to earn it. Its should be based on average time to completion to make it fair for a pvp player, a solo player, a group content player etc. But you are also talking about 300 levels, it has to be a reasonable reward or why bother. I have never enjoyed PvP in any game so that's not an option for me. The faster 30-45 min group content like FP or uprisings have a pretty low cxp reward also, and with the issues right now of low pop and poor queues you just sit around waiting. It not fun and a bad design. They should not have "fixed" this until they either had a new cxp system at the same time, or made it reward something where it is still a solid option for cxp, like 500-750 cxp per daily. Bottom line is the cxp issue needs to be addressed ASAP.

There hoping if they kill off the daily areas, and merge servers everyone will have no other option but to queue for pvp or group content making it seem like the game is alive and well as there will truly be no other means to gain cxp. This effectively kills the game for me. With my job, 2 kids, wife and a sick mom, I do not have the time to join a group queue, wait wait wait for it to pop, run a group mission for much less exp then doing the dailies. Doing solo stuff for me works right now as I can walk away from the keyboard anytime I need to handle something at home. Committing to a group activity means I cant, and again with my situation that's kills this game for me. I get its an MMO, but making group content my only viable option is just not right. Sadly I will never have the time to run ops which at least seem to reward a solid amount of cxp. Everything else for time vs reward is terrible. This isn't trying to get to level 70, your trying to get to 300 and rewarding 78 cxp? Seriously?
  18. This effectively kills running any dailies. Even with a 100% booster, and double exp week you would only get 312 cxp per daily down from @2300. You could run every daily that gave the bonus and get less then 1/8th the cxp. Its just not worth the time sink anymore and after 2x exp weeks ends its not worth doing it on any leve I wont deny the bugged amount was high, but I have been using the 100% boost, bought the legacy boosts and have been grinding the daily areas for over 2 weeks and I am still not to 300 cxp. I think I hit 229 or so last night. You say you get that some people like to play solo or play the game the want to but how do you get CXP now? It seems the only way to earn it in a value for your time spent forces you to run group content. But what if your time to play is when the servers are light and forming a group takes forever or not at all. Do you guys think its fun on any level to log in, wait wait wait, no group, log off? Or waste so much time forming a group you can only have the time to run 1 group thing for the day? If your hinging this on merging servers to greatly improve queues then you should have waited until you did that or until you came up with a better way to earn cxp and not effectively kill the game for some of us.
  19. That's what I don't get. The sorcerer has mobility issues with casting its attacks so standing at a dummy is ridiculous. Mara and assassin can basically move/jump to the targets instantly now and just keep running and attacking but if the sorc has to move it limits its damage a lot. If your going to drop the dps again then allow lightning bolt and crushing darkness to be cast on the move or reduce the cast time by 50%.
  20. OK, I am not a good number cruncher like some but I have a 70 carnage Mara, a 70 infiltration shadow and my 70 lightning Sorcerer. I can tell you from playing my green geared shadow does way more damage then my well geared with augments lightning sorcerer. I really do not understand how they feel a damage nerf makes any sense for this class. Both mara and assassin although melee have the never ending jump to target if you kill the initial target so really melee/ ranged is kind of irrelevant. Sorc has some small attacks you can do while moving but both crushing darkness and your main filler lightning bolt you have to be stationary (except off a proc). I really don't get what they are seeing. Give sorcerer more mobility then maybe, take lightning bolt off the cant cast and move list. I am not saying some classes might be over performing and need to be adjusted but sorcerer is not in that mix and should be slightly buffed or at least given more freedom to cast and move.

Looking at the parse numbers from https://torcommunity.com/guides/miscellaneous/class-rankings Lightning Sorcerer is already the worst performing PvE spec with ~1400 dps lower then the top performing spec. It sits at the bottom of the dps charts and everybody knows this to be true. How on earth do you justify dropping the dps by another 200-300? Even with some of the nerfs to the other classes, this will keep Lightning Sorcerer firmly at the bottom and with a wide margin. All the classes should be within ~500dps max of each other. I would just like to understand why the devs and some in this thread think this is ok? I am strictly looking at it from taking a dps role in PvE, our dps is already pretty bad and now it will be worse?
  22. I keep having the same issues. I had it on Ch VII and Ch IX and now again on Ch XV. After Scorpio gets destroyed you are told to meet up with Senya and I do, and there is a cut scene and then no senya..... You cannot (or at least I cannot) defeat the gemini captain without her healing so I am stuck. I have tried resetting it 4 times now, I ran the solo star fortress in between, did some heroics for alliance stuff. I do see I have a purple mission for Ilum in my mission log now so I am not sure if thats causing an issue, I always hated ilum as I am not a pvp player. I am really not sure what to do. Last time I had this issue they took 4 days to respond to the ticket and said it was because I had an "active mission which is the Hunt from Chapter 1" How I can be on chapter VIII at the time and still have chapter 1 open was very odd but it was in my mission log so I went and ran chapter 1 again and it did fix my issue for that time. This time the only other purple story mission is ilum, so I guess I can go do that but seriously wth is with this. I have run what 5 or 6 chapters since then with no issues until now so this is really just ridiculous at this point.

  25. Hi, I am in the processs of getting back up to speed and was looking for some advice on the current state of the game as to where I should invest my effort 1st. I am a PvE player only and am looking at the end game content for level 70. FP, Ops, etc I have all the classes but it would be a force user class for sure. How would you rank the Juggernaut, Assassin, Sorcerer and marauder for that? I am sure I will eventually get them all up from 65 to 70 but it seems there is a lot to do now at 70 from the command stuff, alliance stuff, iokath, FP, ops etc etc so I would appreciate kind of where these classes are these days as far as the dps role and effectiveness. Thank you very much
