LeeC Posted October 18, 2012 Share Posted October 18, 2012 If I remember correctly from the essels, they take thranta looking ships and significantly reduce the armament to free up space to use as army transports to take armies to campaigns. These ships stay out of fleet battles and general show up once the space is clear to let them safely enter orbit to distribute their troops onto the planet. Or they wait for a signal from the main fleet engaging the enemy before jumping in so that the main fleet is distracted. Chances are, on the actual capital ships and smaller crusiers they do not have ground troops, but marines which repel boarding actions. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
