A quote from Damion Schubert.

Damion Schubert.

"We have not focused on making our content replayable. We have taken a lot of heroic quests -- particularly the group quests -- and made all those replayable. What we have spent the most time on since launch is beefing up the legacy system, which is designed to get you to play the other really good content. We will probably continue beefing that up because it's our best stuff."

Part of the problem is the world itself is so uninteresting, uninspiring, and shabbily done. When you look at the talent and art direction of games like GW2 or even WoW, Swtor looks and feels as if it were done by a bunch of ITT students.

It's really pretty terrible work when you stop and look at it. My suggestion is to hire and employ better artists and programmers, and people who actually have a passion for this franchise and world.

Have a great day!

That's really an amazing quote. If you take it for only what it says, I fail to see what is so great about the legacy system. As far as I'm concerned, it's a collection of "bleh" features that they broke by adding credit sinks to it and making legacy levels pointless. By the time you level 2 toons, you have unlocked everything, but they charge so much for everything that no one in their right mind would spend credits on it. The only exception being early speeder training which is barely in the price range of reasonable.

That's an old quote I hope? The best aspects of the Legacy system are the original things we got when it came out: class buffs, increased presence. Most of what came after was way overpriced in return for something of little or moderate value. The character perks are so expensive, the Legacy level requirements so low, and the fact they affect only one character, they really have nothing to do "Legacy" at all.

There are have been so many ideas of what Legacy could add, some of which are no-brainers and have had hundreds of people here asking for them (cargo hold, for example) but they do nothing. And Legacy levels mean almost nothing.

We will probably continue beefing that up because it's our best stuff.

Really? Compared to the storytelling which was supposed to set this game apart and the end-game PvE and PvP content which this game is actively being judged by, Mr. Schubert considers a barely used and laughable feature, which feels half-arsed and tacked-on, to be their "best stuff"?

Was this shortly before or after the men in white coats paid him a visit?

Have any of these people even played an MMO before? Do they know what type of game they're supposed to be making? Here's a tip, Damian Schubert; when you lose a huge number of subscriptions and your game is labeled "Tortanic" by the very demographic you're trying to appease, you're doing something wrong.

The solution is simple. You put all of your silly projects that aren't remotely exciting any of the players you have left on hold, and you start looking at suggestions from the people who would like to spend an excessive amount of time using your product and giving you money. Put your players first, otherwise you're not going to have anybody left to enjoy your ridiculous Legacy perks.

What a terribly mismanaged product.
