gabigool
i realize bosses are immune to the positioning effect of grapple, but does the immunity also extend to the threat? I was pugging an EV hardmode on my sniper and on the first boss the tank would taunt immediately after the knockback but i noticed he would usually immediately follow with grapple. I talked to him afterwards and he assured me that the immunity was only limited to the pull effect, and that the threat still landed. I've searched and can't find anything confirming this. I suppose I could test it by having a sorc hit a boss once with a lightsaber then grappling, but I figured I'd ask here first.
Ismercu
Yes, the threat does land.
CitizenFry
Yes, you do get threat from the grapple, but it's a pretty miniscule amount of threat, and it costs you a GCD. Not worth it, especially if you were going to be firing a taunt anyway.
mugen_dom
I would not recommend leading with a taunt...with no threat for the taunts threat to be based on its almost wasted...jetcharge rocket punch rail shot...if you lose aggro taunt...but dont waste it by leading with it. I like to have it right after a pyro powertech rips the aggro...after that I dont lose aggro and only use the taunt to swap bosses with another tank.
