joenewbie
I've never noticed, but, does a datacron boost just my stat or does it effect companions as well? As a Jedi Aim is more important for my T7 than for me, for example.

Otembe
Some Datacrons boost your Presence stat, which does benefit your companions' damage or healing output. The biggest thing you can do to boost your companions is still to equip them with gear upgrades when possible.
Kytea
The other biggest thing you can do for companions is to level a 50 (Unlocks a legacy +100 presence bonus once per legacy). Then each maxed companion gives a +10 presence bonus to the legacy (one companion of each type per class, not advanced class). When I rolled a new Jedi Knight, it had so much presence bonus due to my legacy unlocks that up to about level 30 I could almost watch Kira single-handedly wipe mobs. This advantage starts to wash off around mid-30s however.

My first 50 was a human, didn't know it was race-specific.

Yeah, for all other races getting one to 50 unlocks them as an option for all classes. Since Humans are already available for all classes, they did something different with it.
