What do you guys think about this build?

Well the title says it. I want an honest opinion about this build:

Am I spreading myself too thin?

Is it viable for both PvP and PvE?

Keep in mind that I fully embrace the support class role with my play style. This class is not a glasscannon nor is it a straight up healer. Furthermore, I think that with this build its not only possible to off-heal but be the primary healer in all Tier 1 HM FPs and a secondary healer in both Tier 1 HM OPS, while at the same time bringing a good chunck on damage to the table. Of course for such a truly hybrid build you will need to have top notch gear and a lot of experience.

P.S. Up until now I have been a full Lightning build, but I find myself doing a fair bit of healing in both PvP and PvE (thought obviously much more so in PvP). Frankly, I think it is much better to put in 150k well placed heals in a WZ than doing tunnelvision damage thats the job of Marauders and Snipers, since thats all they can do.

I think you are going to run into significant force issues with that build.

If you want to do some off healing, only putting two points into the healing tree to lower your dark infusion to a 2.5 second base is good enough if you're not going to get innervate.

I use this hybrid build for both pvp and for Tier 1 flashpoints. Keep in mind I use this build mainly for dps but have main healed hm fp's with it.

It allows you to clear trash really quickly with force storm, followed by chain lightning and deathfield.

As for healing, having lightning effusion means I rarely run out of force and the backlash from your static barrier is great for trash. I also find Polarity Shift to be a versatile skill that will lower your dark infusion to around 1.7 to 1.8 seconds or increase the damage of your force lightning.

Terrible.. you don't get any useful Talents... you end up being terrible at everything.

Something like this is the best UTIL spec... i bring 300k dmg, 200k heals to most warzones... often topping both categories outhealing other 31 heal specs and doing more dmg than marauders etc in the same game.

http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201MZbsbRbMrZcMfRsMz.1

- the above build is a UTIL build and is prob best spec for PVP for a UTIL role

You need

Lightning Effusion to make it affordable to heal while doing dmg on proc.

- this skill is 20 deep in lightning tree and is key to making healing affordable.... ie infinite mana

PVP survival

Backlash

Electric Bindings

Instand Whirlwing (madness tree)

Deep Madness has mana probs if you try to doing anything other than dps.. it only does slightly more dmg.. with no support options.

You don't need to spec into Corruption to heal.. mana is biggest problem when trying to UTIL style.

Heal Sorcs in PVP should never spec higher than INNERVATE for various reasons.

Yes you are spreading yourself too thin. If you are looking for support/damage, look at the first build. If you are looking for more of a support/support build with less killing capabilities look at the second. Either way you look at it, the best support in this game is a full/hybrid healing build..... H-E-A-L-S, that's how you spell support.

(2 points left over, suggested to put them in either Reserves for 100 more Force or Conspiring Force for 20% slows on Affliction dots.... I'm always undecided which I would rather have.)
