Possibiliity of new classes in the future?

Hello moderators. Is there any chance of getting some information on whether or not we will see some new classes in the future? I think I can speak for everyone here that a non-jedi/sith melee warrior class is in high demand. I personally would like to see some new jedi/sith classes in the future. A jedi class that could off-heal while being close to on par with the melee abilities of a guardian would be my dream class (something very similar to a paladin in other games). It would mean the world to me and many other players if you got the word out that new classes are in development. Thanks for reading and any feedback would be greatly appreciated. two words. CREATURE HANDLER!!!! IE: the SWG class of the same name. there has never been a more enjoyable class in any MMO ever! Pet Rancor? YES PLEASE! best of all, It could be a cross faction class, no mirror needed and could be used to introduce Dathomer + so many other planets!

Thanks! I loved them till Bioware made me change them because they're "Drug References".

 

On topic, in less than five posts how did this go from a wish about new classes to new races?

 

I agree let's keep this thread focused on classes so we can have a chance of a moderator giving us an answer of some sort.

Republic Pilot/Imperial Pilot (especially if space battles and space missions can become a serious part of the game), Imperial Marine (Imperial Trooper type), Imperial Diplomat/Republic Senator, Republic Provocateur/Spy (to be a closer offset of the Imperial Agent than Smuggler), Cartel Enforcer (for a more neutral faction perhaps)...

 

I'm sure there are plenty of others.

 

I really like the idea of Creature Handler, too.

I really like the idea of Creature Handler, too.

 

How the heck would you play as a Diplomat or Senator? "Hey, Mr. Wampa on Hoth, I'm going to need to see your license to have these icicles out here..."

 

Not to mention, we don't really need an Imperial Marine class. We already have something close to that as a Bounty Hunter.

Would also be an excuse to forgo voice overs. I'd like to see an unarmed TK / monk type class.

How would that avoid voice overs? Just because it hangs out with weird monsters and stuff doesn't mean it won't have to talk to people to get quests and whatnot.

The 3 pilots were not a class but I agree with your entire list besides those. Especially the one you didnt include.

 

Also make it so your character can be one then change to another and then another without having to role an alt, then make it so there is no number representing a level in any way representing my character and you have it.

Brawler

Enterainer What would your Class Story be? That Fatty the Hutt fired you from your cantina and you need a new job?

Marksman What separates this from Sniper?

Medic How is this any different from any of the non-Force healers in game?

Scout

Architect What would you do? There aren't player structures in this game...

Armorsmith That's a crewskill already. Armormech. Why make it a specific class? Not to mention I'm sure the "Artisans" listed above would be miffed.

Carbine Specialist

Chef Biochem does this. Again, Artisans would be angry...

Dancer What makes this different from an "Entertainer" above?

Droid Engineer

Merchant So... Do none of the above-listed crafters sell their wares? They just make 'em?

Rebel Alliance Starfighter Okay, okay. I'll give you pilots and stuff. But why do you have "Pilot" and then 3 breakdowns of specific pilots? What the heck does the regular "Pilot" do?

Shipwright Cybermech...Ish. I mean, we don't have ship options. And if we did, I think Cybermech would get angry...

 

A lot of these simply don't make sense in terms of the game. So, I'm going to (for the most part) pretend you ALSO want combat to be a non-essential part of the entire game. Bolded areas are my comments.

They were all Professions in SWG the Pilots were 3 new professions in JTL expansion......the top 6 were starting professions

 

the pilot proffs where not like the others though they did not take up your skill points like the other prof's did

No the 3 pilots were not real professions. They were more like titles(maybe not the best word) that anyone could learn basically in the same area as politician which you did not list.

Wow I did forget one of my favorites Creature handler which someone else had mentioned before as their favorite to....You are right the Pilot was just should just be a heading ....with Privateer/ Freelance Pilot as the first Pilot profession.....
