Skroting Posted August 5, 2012 Share Posted August 5, 2012 So i've been levling my vanguard over the last couple of days/weeks, and i've had so much fun with it that i will be aiming for hitting 50 soon, and gearing her up. In the lowbies there's little that can stop me, but my concern is for when i start playing with the bullies of the 50-bracket, and so i would really appreciate a few pointers. What spec should i go for as a fresh 50? Should i go for Combat tech or eliminator first? I've allways had the 8/2/31 in mind, but i've read somewhere that it is more suited for a geared character, and so i started thinking there might be better options while gearing up. Mitsugoya Posted August 5, 2012 Share Posted August 5, 2012 i advice you to just swap the 2pt from [steely resolve] to [Demolition] If you haven't 1700+ AIM Steely resolve the 5/5/31 is the best to go with. IMO the eliminator set is better than the tech set. Firstly you will hit more often your rail shot than your rocket punch, so 15% crit with rail shot is better than 15% crit on rocket punch.
