Watchman Pvp Accuracy, Crit and Power

Accuracy

I currently have 95.61% Accuracy, and I'm wondering whether that is enough for the purposes of PVP.

If not I would have to sacrifice Crit/Surge to compensate.

For example upgrading BM implant to WH one will reduce strength by 14, reduce crit/surge by 51, but increase accuracy by 53 and power by 49.

Crit v Power

I am also having a debate on the whole Power v Crit thing. This is because alot of the War Hero Weaponmaster's gear has Power instead of Crit.

I currently have 590 crit rating which gives me 17.67% Crit. Which makes it 33.39 Crit stat per percentage of Crit.

My main hand gives me 630-792 damage, whilst my offhand gives me 214-321 damage. (Force Might Buff)

My 1445 Strength gives me 9.73% Crit and along with the smuggler buff (which I unlocked) gives me 38.39% in Crit.

Why I'm interested

I am interested in the Crit v Power debate because upgrading from a Battlemaster Weaponmaster's Implant to another War Hero Implant will reduce my Crit by 51 and increase power by 69. At the same it will +5 strength, +6 expertise, +2 surge, -4 endurance.

Similarly a move from my current BM Helmet to a WH one will:

-4 strength, +19 endurance, +10 expertise, +2 accuracy, -48 crit, +61 power. The question is really whether a loss in Crit is compensated with 61 power for a Watchman in PVP.

590 crit is well into diminishing returns you'd be better off with only 200-300 crit and replacing the rest with power.

oh and you're looking at the wrong implants you want the power/surge (pummeler) ones they also have higher strength.

Yeah, the comparison is between pummeler and my current BM Implant. I.e Losing 51 crit for the 69 power.

69 power gives 15.87 DPS, 51 loss in Crit will be about 1.4% loss in Crit.

The following is calculated by multiplying a 1.4% chance to Crit with the Surge Rating I have. The figure in the last column is the amount of DPS increase by having crit.

Vicious Slash 2872 - 0.7875 - 0.014 - 31.6638

Slash 1545 - 0.7875 - 0.014 - 17.033625

Master Strike 4864- 0.7875 - 0.014 - 53.6256

I've tested what effect a reduction on DPS would have on the various abilities. For example a 23 decrease in Damage (Prim) reduce the max of Vicious slash by 32, master strike by 48

Before - After - Difference

Vicious Slash 2823 - 2759 - 64

Master Strike 4786 - 4685 - 101

Slash 1518 - 1484 - 34

Translating into a reduction factor of 2.78 for Vicious Slash, 4.39 for Master Strike, 1.48 for Slash. In other words a 15.87 Increase in DPS will increase Damage of:

Vicious Slash by 15.87x2.78 = 44.12

Master Strike by 15.87x4.39 = 69.67

Slash by 15.87x1.48 = 23.49

It would seem that power is more effective in DPS with my current stats.
