Religions besides Jedi/Sith

Is there any religions in Star Wars that does not include the Force? And isn't it strange that the Republic is called a democracy when a religious group(The Jedi Council) has so much influense in the army, I mean the Jedis are officers and most people seem to act as everyone believed believed in the Jedi.

The Jedi only involved themselves in wars because they were trying to keep the peace. They were put in the position of General and such because only they could lead the vast clone army effectively. One of the many studies of a Jedi is leadership.

The Jedi swore loyalty to the republic. No other religion or Force based organization did that.

And before the clone wars started, there was no republic army, so they had no generals. That's why they had to take what was there and took the Jedi. But of course they were gradually replaced by non Force-sensitive officers.

And yes, most people believed in the Force during the old republic.. But of course there were A-Force-ists too and they became the majority in the Galactic Empire.

Edit: And yes, there are religions that don't include the Force. Just try some here, you will find some that are not based upon the Force.

But these religions don't exclude the Force and believe in the Force doesn't exclude most of these religions. (Here on earth it is the same: some religions are exclusive, but others are not.)

To be fair it is a little merky that jedi and sith are an actual religion, not to mention there really isn't so much of a choice to be jedi or sith, and the force is really more of a form of primal energy than something that is caused by belief.

There are other religions like with the Trandoshans believing in the Scorekeeper. And I believe Mandalorians believed in some sort of afterlife similar to vikings and Valhalla, I forget the name.

They are there, it's just most of the time you don't see it in the films because A. The Main Characters are Jedi or people who don't talk about their religion. B They are like like Han Solo before he met Luke, more of a non believer who relied more on Luck than some apparent space magic. C. It's not really important to the plot of the story. The main theme of Star Wars is is bringing balance to the Force and redemption of Anakin.

That and the Jedi/Sith had science to back up their claims of Midiclorians like it or not meaning the Force did exist. (I find it sorta stupid)

Mostly though you have cults or religions that don't spread beyond planets...similar to us.

Some of the other things involving Force users aren't so much religions as other philosophies based off the teachings of either the Jedi, Sith, or both. Like how Darth Millennial (aka Set Harth), formed his order of Oracles years after escaping from Zannah and getting away with Darth Andeddu's holocron to learn the Essence Transfer technique.

Of course then there are Trandoshians who worship the "Scorekeeper", and Flesh Raiders have their own deified image. Most of the more 'primitive' cultures in SW worship some kind of idol. Though in general it seems the technologically advanced ones don't believe in anything. Han Solo never believed the Force was legit.
