Apparently, they're giving out a Diablo 3 achievement "One of the Chosen" to the closed beta participants, and people are getting all upset about it too. Kind of like the free month giveaway we had except...in this case, it's some text with no monetary value. Doh! I know, just thought it was amusing, right on the heels of our own incident. Interesting to note though, it seems this happens mostly to the most popular franchises and developers. Possibly due to their more die-hard fanbases? Would be interesting to do a more thorough scientific study. Could be money to be made consulting for the larger companies!
