Hey, what kind of damage abosrtion rate absorbs?

I know that shield rating triggers only in melee and ranged attack and then your shield aborbs certain amount of damage. But what kind of damage it absorbs? i mean does it absorb also tech and force damage?

It absorbs a percentage of all shielded attacks. ONLY SHIELDED ATACKS

 

Think of it like this:

 

Shield % -- chance to shield some attacks

absorb % how much damage does shielding prevent

 

So if you are at 40% shield and 39% absorb then, for any attack that is shieldable, you would have a 40% chance to shield that attack. IFF you do, then that attack would be reduced by 39%, that amount that your shield absorbed.

you seriously answered your own question there.

you can not shield tech and force attacks.

only melee and range attacks.

there is no tech and force damage. damage types =/= attack types.
