  1. BW encouraging people not to quit WZ early is a good thing, right? I have seen tons of threads with people asking BW to fix the "revolving door" problem in WZs. This, to me, lookslike an effort in that direction.
  2. I'll see you in London for the Games then? If you are looking for an e-sport you should probably look elsewhere. Seriously get a life, you probably had full BM from Ilum turret farming months ago, i.e. had gear handed to you for breathing.
  3. Maybe, just maybe, this was done to encourage people to stay in losing matches instead of fishing for wins like i see al the time. Maybe you don't have the "revolving door" problem on your server but some of us do. Also, wins count for 2 games whereas losses count for 1. So what happened to your point?

  7. I was only correcting the usage of the term "damage penalty." I wasn't arguing for or against such a nerf.
  8. On a PvP server you are flagged. On a PvP server you are not unless you choose to be. That's it. It seems that everyone in this thread is trying to figure out what you are actually asking. If they changed the "PvP rules" in what ever xy and z way you are suggesting, then basically people would not PvP on PvE servers. Unless they did something really terrible, and then everybody would probably leave the PvP servers.
  9. Dude a damage penalty is a Penalty to damage, like if the ability said "you deal 50% less damage for the duration." Losing half health is a cost, but that is a completely different thing from a damage penalty.
  10. It absorbs a percentage of all shielded attacks. ONLY SHIELDED ATACKS Think of it like this: Shield % -- chance to shield some attacks absorb % how much damage does shielding prevent So if you are at 40% shield and 39% absorb then, for any attack that is shieldable, you would have a 40% chance to shield that attack. IFF you do, then that attack would be reduced by 39%, that amount that your shield absorbed. Hope this helps clear it up for you.

  12. You know, I've read a bit about NORSE but I have one question: does anyone actually stand in your flamethrower? I just seems like the kind of thing that isn't nearly as awesome as it seems. I'm not knocking you or the spec, ive never tried, but I just don't see how you ever catch anybody with it. As to Scoobings, first I will tell you that IM should rarely ever be used, and certainly not as the usual opener. That right there should solve some of your heat issues. The only time I overheat is when I use IM or spam FB during a PPA drought. Second, the spec took me probably 10 hours of playtime to really get comfortable with it. YMMV of course.
  13. Wow this thread sure got confusing! I had to scroll back thru like 3 times to figure out *** was going on. I would like to comment on the jet charge / HO controversy. I say all of this as someone who played only ST/IF builds pre-1.2, leveled as ST, and never thought I could live without Jet charge. Since 1.2, after trying the new ST, I discovered the Maverick (you betcha /wink). While HO appealed to me on paper, I didn't think I would like playing without JC, for many of the reasons mentioned in this thread. What I have discovered is that I have learned to play without it, and I don't miss it at all anymore. I challenge anyone to play with HO for a week or two and then still claim that Jet Charge provides better utility. While I do occasionally miss charging a guy on a fire vent for the kill, that's all I'm missing. That is negated by the times HO has kept me from getting knocked back. And jet charge doesn't allow you to get Charged Gauntlets and Flame Barrage
