GCD with instant abilities

There are a lot of instant abilities, and because of that with a GCD there is a pause between the next action. It makes the combat not feel as smooth.

 

Could the solution be to make the animation take more time, or maybe a cool down as long as the animation?

 

Are you guys noticing this, and is it making the class feel clunky?

 

The rotation I am speaking about specifically is:

 

1. Dirty kick

2. Back blast

3. Blaster whip

They used to have longer animations but this caused a big imbalance between the factions as often instant abilities would not actually happen instantly.

 

So they changed it so the damage was applied instantly, even before the animation was finished. This was a bit silly and confused a lot of people, it was only ever a temporary solution to the balance issue.

 

Now they have made the animations shorter and... it is better than either of the previous two situations. How can you instantly do a blaster whip then have the animation continue for a second after you have already done the whip (as one example)?

Im not well versed with the balances for mirror classes,but I read that due to animations taking longer for scoundrels that operatives had an advantage. So was the problem fixed, or the animation removed but it takes just as long, so not really fixed?

while we are talking about skills namely dirty kick has this happened to anyone.

in pvp sneek up to someone shootfirst said person then apply dirtykick only to be knocked back say 10meters then dirty kick -- kicks in while you meters from the target . thought it might be lag but my latency is fine 43ms or is the annimations ?

its lag on your oppenents end, on his machine he got his aoe off before your dirty kick, and on yours vice versa....the server makes it so that both instances are true, thus the knutkick from 10 meters away.
