Suggestion of a Merc Healer.

After experimenting with 1.2 and playing around with the warzones, hardmodes, and ops it is my personal opinion and the opinion of other Merc healers that if Bioware truly meant to nerf us, they went about it in the wrong way. As a healer I am willing to make concessions that we should probably have been nerfed in pvp. The truth is that between one tank and I we could stop and entire team from capping in Voidstar. What I am saying now every Merc pre 1.2 has seen/done/heard of.

What I am attempting to get at is that we probably did need a nerf, but that Bioware went about it the wrong way. Instead of nerfing our HPS they nerfed our already limited heal pool, limiting our sustain more then anything else. As I am fairly tired when writing this I am just going to delve into my suggested ways to fix this problem. Please Bioware if you are to use any of these they are meant to be used individually as a fix, not cumulatively.

1) Give rapidshots the ability to remove heat. The agent already has a similar ability and this would give us utility to adjust our heat level accordingly.

2) Return our heat costs to the way they were prepatch and nerf the actual heals. This would reduce out HPS while still keeping our sustain.

3) If the actual issue was our survivability, nerf our shield.

4) If the current system is meant to avoid spam, remove all Alclarity from out gear and give us straight Crit/Power. This would allow us to have bigger heals and deal with the lower resource system since the heat would disappear due to longer cast times. We would heal at the current patch settings, but would be better suited for sustain since we'd have larger longer cast heals.

5) If the issue is again with pvp, adjust the expertise pvp buff percentage to help with heals in pvp and not directly affect pve.

I ask that the community constructively judge and comment on these suggestions. My overall goal is to fix the resource issues we have, and not to simply return to our pre 1.2 settings. I would love for the GM's of this game to actually talk with some of the Merc healers to get their perspectives. I hope changes are made soon, and are better implemented this time, and this is my attempt to aid the problem and give the community something constructive to comment on.

The increase in heat cost would be ok if our heat regen at a constant rate all the time. However, as we only have 40 heat to work with for the 5 heat per second, that means you must to start your healing rotation from close to 0 heat, or you will overheat.

If a DPS merc gets over 40 heat, they can stop using energy for a while. The same luxury is not available for a healer.
