xBlackguardx
Of the "chance on damage" ones, which one is best for Merc DPS ? Internal, Elemental, Kinetic, etc?
StewieMcScotty
of those it would be the Energy/kinetic damage ones you want if you are arsenal spec because HVGC does affect them and youll get more damage from them then you would from the internal/elemental damage ones
Diddley
of those it would be the Energy/kinetic damage ones you want if you are arsenal spec because HVGC does affect them and youll get more damage from them then you would from the internal/elemental damage ones That is factually inaccurate. First of all, none of the users stats or abilities affect the base damage of proc relics, except crit chance and surge when they crit. Secondly, as a merc you do NOT want the energy or kinetic damage relics because that's the only damage you deal anyway and they are mitigated by armour (which is why they deal more damage). The internal and elemental cubes bypass armour rating so are better at dealing damage to tanks and give reliable and consistent damage (the damage they deals are lower for this reason). The sorc buff give 10% reduced damage to both elemental and internal damage but this is still negligible overall for it's armour bypass. As a pryo I use the relic of dark surgance (internal), and a BM relic of boundless ages. For raiding it would be the same. Possibly the matrix cube if it was a hectic fight, but it is not considered BiS anymore. Edited April 14, 2012 by Diddley
