Are damage dealing Relics useless?

There is exists Relics such as:

Dark Energy Surge

On Hit: Damaging attacks have a 30% chance to deal 168 additional internal damage to the target. This effect can only occur once every 4.5 seconds, and shares this limit with similar damage-dealing effects.

 

But all our Stances are damage inflicting.. For example, Combat Technique is:

Assumes a combat technique, giving your attacks a 50% chance to deal 229 internal damage and heal you for 464. This effect cannot occur more than once every 4.5 seconds.

 

So every 4.5 seconds of a fight only ONE of these two will proc?

The proc trinkets are only self restrictive i.e. you cant use two different proc trinkets.

Don't worry, the relics only restrict themselves from proccing with each other (So you can't use 2 damage relics)

Then it`s a question emerges concerning sustained and burst damage..

A hard question.. How to spend 200Daily comms.. What to choose for a Tank as 1.2 go live:

 

Campaign Relic of Boundless Ages

Total Stats:

+84 Endurance

On Use: Increases Power by 405 for 20 seconds.

 

OR

 

Campaign Relic of Dark Radiance

Total Stats:

+84 Endurance

On Hit: Damaging attacks have a 30% chance to deal 184 additional internal damage to the target. This effect can only occur once every 4.5 seconds, and shares this limit with similar damage-dealing effects.

For the burst damage Relic:

405 Power provide something like +92 Bonus Damage..

For 20sec it is theoretically do 13*92 = 1196 additional damage..

And Relic go for 2min cooldown..

 

Though i do +1196 Damage for 2minutes..

 

For the sustained damage Relic:

184 damage every 4.5sec.. For 2 minutes of constant fighting it will proc 26 times.. 26*184=4784..

But there is no such thing as constant fighting..

But internal damage is less probable to be mitigated.. *sigh*..

 

There is a lot to consider.. *sigh*..

I haven't seen a relic with a proc yet. Is this a 1.2 thing or which ones should I be looking for?

 

Currently these are the drops from Operations HMs..

But in 1.2 you can also buy them from Daily Vendor for 200 Daily Comms..
