shiatcgge
Where can I buy gifts for my companion? How do you determine if a gift is appropriate for a particular companion?
Owsley
Here is a great companion gift guide http://www.oldrepublic.net/261-swtor-companion-gifts-guide-how-buy-your-love.html Level 1 and 2 gifts can be bought from a vendor on fleet and capital worlds. Higher level ones you get from running missions (Treasure Hunting, Diplomacy, Underworld Trading, Investigation) Edited April 4, 2012 by Owsley
Datamonger
http://www.torhead.com/companions Click on the companion in question. You can buy gifts from a Companion Gifts Vendor and from the GTN, as well as from certain crew missions(although these are random rolls and take time). amantheil
You also get them as rewards for some quests. Edited April 4, 2012 by amantheil
swcfrost
There is a gift vendor on your faction's capital planet and at your faction's fleet station. Try experimenting with gifts so you can find out which ones they like and don't like.
Eternalnight
Try experimenting with gifts so you can find out which ones they like and don't like. You'll just waste your credits doing that. There are lists and guides available that let you know which types of gifts they like.
Deathduck
Is it feasible to play without the companion? I mean, we're supposed to be powerful Sith (or Jedi) and yet, we have to rely on a helper?? I get it for the Bounty Hunter and Smuggler classes, but the Sith/Jedi classes really shouldn't NEED them to play.
DLSilence
It also tells you their interests in the Codex, which is where those lists on these websites came from. But the codex will also give you hints on what kind of conversation choices they will like.
